Meet <a href=„https://www.facebook.com/orthodoxofficial“ target= _blank">Orthodox, an Oxford based, up-and-coming producer with an interesting musical background. He taught himself how to play the piano at 10, learned drums by 12, and got pretty comfortable on strings by 14. While going through his earlier tracks, you can hear how his debut EP was molded out of influences from hip hop, dubstep, chillout, downtempo and various styles of drum and bass.

Interpretations EP on Red Bar Records starts with an easy groove hip-hop track sampled with lush vocals called Much Too Late. Alone Together has a Bonobo-esque feel to it with beautiful piano keys and violin strings, while Smoothie feels like a more gentle combination of dubstep and hip hop.

The title track creates a smooth transition from the already ever present hip hop feel to soulful DnB and proves how much the two genres have in common. Oversight, with its gliding percussions, and Moments with its contagious vocals make it a brilliant closing to the EP.
