On Friday Philip TBC arrives to Klaxon in Litoměřice toghether with Ghonzales and Babe LN. Great invasion of our djs on Friday will experience Inspiral in Pilsen, where you might listen to Koogi, Akira, 2K and Dave. On Saturday Koogi and Nitropank give a gig at U-Klub in Olomouc and Akira plays at his domestic Rotes Berlin. Enjoy!

Yes, ladies & gentleman, Klute remixed for us a CD full of famous and exclusive tracks from Commercial Suicide and believe that this set is going to be worth it…not only because of the price. Brother server Breakbeat.cz published the new poll, where you can express your opinion about eventual creation of a new music magazine. The mag would entirely deal with styles such as drum'n'bass, breakbeat possibly also hip hop (I give my voice also for ambient, downtempo and nu jazz!), which could be perhaps interesting for Shadowbox readers. We think such magazine is missing in the Czech Republic (not everyone owns a notebook and that's why we can't read on the toilets :-P) So be so kind and vote here. Krisztian Kovacs aka Chris SU is drawing near, setting his heart upon! On Friday (02/20) he plays at In Da Bush at prague's Roxy, on Saturday (02/21) at Future Breakz In Da Bush in ostravian Fabric. It will definitely be interesting to compare both actions (and by the way, we will have a try. If you don´t show up at any of those, it is SUre that you´ll be singing laments… the entry is only 150,– and 120,– CZK ! Another hungarian Midlow plays on both locations. If you are interested in hiphop or turntablism and yet not very professional winning every other scratch-contest, this sites might give you a bunch of useful information. Actually it´s a guide how to start, and I don´t mean starting playin´ – mixin´2 decks together but starting to scratch, to learn what in fact is juggling or beatcuts or how to actually get the better on turntablism. Last week were announced the nominations for Pop Music Academy. One of the most interesting cathegories is probably the genre DANCE & HIP-HOP. Even though it´s pretty weird to compare so-called dance music with hip-hop, the nominations hit the spot. Nobody will be surprised by the presence of Ecstasy of Saint Theresa, which has just had a good year (www.eost.cz). Certainly pleasing is the token esteem of two „debutants“ : Juanita Juarez and Ecson Waldes (released their first albums – ‚Spa Boy‘ and ‚Sophia‘). After last year´s I Kaman­chi, label Full Cycle is back again with another interesting album. The CD version of a debut opus of Tali, a „kiwi“ living in Bristol has been just released. We can find there 12 tracks including such hits as Blazin', High Hopes or popular Lyric On My Lip, after which was named record's title. Tali is a great singer and since the man who stands behind production is nobody but Roni Size himself, the album has got ambitions to take up again on previous success of Breakbeat Era or perhaps of the album New Forms. I have just been informed from a well-posted source [I hope, you won't force me to reveal it, cuz I wouldn't like the situation to happen as recently in BBC ;)] who will be the headliner at already fifth continuation of an awesome and the one and only old school night Let It Roll in March. For me personally it's a very pleasent discovery and hopefully for you too. Namely there will be Mickey Finn himself, one of the grand-DJs of the UK scene. This weekend are held rather smaller actions in clubs but the more you can enjoy it. As far as DNB is concerned, you can come round the Street club in Jablonec nad Nisou, where will turn the plates Sweg with Anakin and the duo Nitropankwill show up at Prague's bar XT3. At breakbeat actions, there'll be only one representant namely Philip TBC, which will play in Břeclav's Block together with X.morph and Jordy. On Saturday there will be two our guys playin', once Koogi in pilsener Underground (ex Mix) and second 2K at Cross in Prague.

Finally after a long time Prague expects another visit from northern Moravia DJs representing the soundsystem EASTEK. Lately successful DJ Rido is the one who will play for JS-Crew. The action called Origin Drumandbass will take place in theMatrix club on Friday 02/27/2004. Mentioned DJs are: Wintermute + MKS (Eastek), Reverb + Junkett (2.3) and Rido (JS-Crew). What you can be looking forward to is that four of the guys will play their own previously unreleased tracks! It is worth 80 crowns, I guess, ain´t it?! Weekend is here again and so are we with our regular invitation. On Friday taste 2K with Larry in club Zavinac in Liberec and the „inseparable couple“ Akira/Dave in Carlsbad´s Rotes Berlin. Koogi will spin some plates after the Kosheen concert in Roxy and then hurry to Vrchlabi at Drum Session in the club Dr.Max. Saturday is clear. Most of shadowboxers will be seen at Punto raisin´hell with our colleagues from Breakbeat.cz. Only Nitrous betrayed and can be found at Lokalita in Slany. Although 2K plays in Kladno too, you won´t miss him at Punto! Nice weekend!
