You prefer soulful stuff and he is more into techstep. Do you
play out any Virus records at all? Do you like Ed Rush’s DJstyle?
Actually I like all kinds of good music and I play all styles of
drumandbass, I think that playing the whole variety of drumandbass makes a set
really interesting – so yes I play virus records and yes I like ed rush
s DJing!
Can you introduce Trife.Life! a bit? Members,
activities, aims?
Members are Mat, Kon.rad, Raw.full, Aziz, MC Shnek and MC Verse, MC
Soultrain, MC Santana, DJ Lee… Activities, well what shall i say… Having
party, having fun… Aims are having fun! Promote drumandbass on
planet Earth.
How popular is drumnbass in Austria? D.kay is getting
bigger and there are also other names to watch…
That s hard to explain, and probably even harder to imagine for
someone that never saw it. I dont know… people like Intalex , Ed rush or
Marky or I dont know what english superstars ask us if they can play in Vienna,
they wanna stay for days after their gigs, everybody that played here wanted to
come back – as for the audience the amount of people is like in techno in
czech, I guess, as techno in austria is totaly dead! We are having a weekly
club with minimum of 200 people each friday, and monthly flex – dates with
minimum of 1200 people, we have to close down clubs cause we dont know where to
put the people that wanna join our parties! D.kay isnt starting to get big, he
s big, I really couldnt imagine any bigger producer in the today – I mean
if Andy C, Ed Rush, Goldie, Bailey, and all the big names got two tunes from
U in their Top 5 there s nothing more to say about this one!
