Friday night's coming and for this occasion, one of Prague's clubs – ABATON – will change into a pure breakbeat club. There will be a lot of decos, quality sound and lights and two stages. Rád by som vás upozornil, aj keď trochu neskoro, na pripravovanú kalbičku BASS BOX tento piatok v Teplicích. Keďže sa toho v okolí Teplíc čo sa týka junglu a breakov moc nedeje, myslím, že by ste si to nemali nechať ujsť, pokiaľ bývate aspoň trochu blízko. Keď prekliknete nadpisom, nájdete tiskovku, flyer a krátky rozhovor s účastníkmi tejto akcie :)
The Swiss group The Engine are going to introduce us to their regular party night called Restless. And not once, but twice – on the 28th of February in the DJ bar XT3 in Prague and on the 1st of March in the club In Spiral in Plzeň. DJs Impact and Lockee with MC Fight have been playing for eight years already. The first one started with techno and hardcore, the other one with reggae, ragga and hip-hop. Igraczech will support them in XT3, Mefuzo and Marpo will be the support DJs in In Spiral. The promoters promise a party without rest ;o) [by BARTIAS]
The Prague based intelligent drumandbass band Alvik plans a gig in Roxy. They already played there as support for Ecstasy of Saint Theresa and met with an favourable echo from the audience. Alvik are preparing their debut album, which should be released sometime during the summer. Until then you can listen to samples of their tracks including some new stuff on their official website. It is likely that you'll hear the most of them at the FREE MONDAYS concert that I mentioned above. The date is the 24th of February.[by BARTIAS]

There will be another „sequel“ of the regular party night called Slim Slam Drum on Saturday the 22nd of March 2003 in Ostrava. This time, the main stars are going to be Aquasky with a battle DJ from the hip-hop cru Outkastz, who will be playing a set on four decks. According to the promoters' words, we should be looking forward to see someone who uses decks as a music instrument. Aquasky will also play on the Breaxone breakbeat stage. Everyone from the ShadowBox Mafia was there, we had a lot of fun and Shading will be a regular night from now on – every two months on Fridays at Punto Azul. I think, that Ostrava likes breakbeat and thanks to the local pioneers Kmin and Lautek, interesting things are coming. Not long ago they've started a new breakbeat web breakbeat.zulu.cz where you can find „…not only information about breakbeat here and abroad, info about breakbeat parties, but also interviews with DJs, reviews of new vinyls, audio and a infoservice directly to your e-mail…“ - as they say. Beside this, they are also starting a 100% breakbeat night called BREAXONE along with Elvis' EXT DUST in the famous Ostrava club FABRIC. The first part takes place on the 14th of February with DJs: Saku, Kmin, Lautek and Uzi.[by KAPLICK]

EASTEK nám nelení, a tak vám prinášam informácie o dvoch akciách v únoru. 1.2.2003 sa uskutoční EASTEK PLANET BREAKZ v Libereckom klube CASTA. Do skoku zahrajú WINTERMUTE, PHAKEY, OVERFLOW a REVERB. O bolenie uší sa postará 8 kW zvuk a pri vstupe bude 150 mix CDčiek zadarmo. 22.2.2003 sa v Hradci Králové v klube EL DIABLO odohrá ďaľšia nemenej zaujímavá akcička s názvom EASTEK SIDDEZ. Zahrajú WINTERMUTE, REVERB, ELVIS a OVERFLOW. Pri vstupe znovu 100 mix CD zadarmo. Takže kto z vás má radšej trochu androšu a kvalitných domácich DJs, ten by nemal chýbať :) Keď prekliknete nadpis, nájdete letáky :)
